From my light-polluted house-deck and 155mm of aperture, only the brighter galaxies are
visually within my reach. Still seeing smudges that are in reality made of collections of
billions of stars and planets whose light has been travelling for 20+ million years to get to
my eyes is enough to peak my interest.
