Messier 88 Spiral Galaxy -- Coma Berenices
                                                 Drawing of M 88

The Spiral Galaxy M88 is a large spiral galaxy in the Virgo Galaxy Cluster.  As viewed from
Earth it shows a 30 degree tilt, about the same angle as we see the Andromeda Galaxy
(M31). The dim 9.6 magnitude light from M88 that we are seeing today left the galaxy 62
million years ago. A long time coming.
