NGC 4371 & NGC 4429 -- Lenticular Galaxies in Virgo
Two Lenticular Galaxies below M84 & M86
Both the Herschel 400, Lenticular Galaxies NGC 4371 and NGC 4429, appeared in the
155mm refractor from my suburban backyard as small round uniform glows. Both were
easy to locate by moving the telescope a little over a degree south from the more famous
Virgo Galaxies Messier M84 and M86. NGC 4371 and NGC 4429 are about ¾ of a
degree apart.
