NGC 6834 -- Open Cluster in Cygnus
The Open Cluster NGC 6834 is small but distinct. The short east-west line of 10th
to 11th magnitude stars immersed in fainter stars marked the spot. NGC 6834 is
located on the Cygnus/Vulpecula border near the Planetary Nebula NGC 6842.
Try as I might, I was not able to detect the Planetary Nebula. I probably need darker
skies and/or a bigger telescope for the faint planetary. However, the open cluster
made up for my failure to find the planetary and provided me with a beautiful display
of starlight.
