5 Aurigae (Double Star) & 6 Aurigae (Red Supergiant Star) in Auriga
Five & Six Aurigae -- a Pretty Pair
The Double Star, 5-Aurigae (Struve 92), and the Red Supergiant star, 6-Aurigae, together made
a fine coupling in the eyepiece.  At 84x the double was cleanly split, while the Red Supergiant
was shining to the north in the same field of view.  The star 5-Aurigae is actually a three star
system, with the brighter primary consisting of two close stars that the telescope could not split.
