Algieba (Gamma Leonis) -- Double Star in Leo
The almost Full Moon is rising, and the dark sky is slowly being washed out with its
light.  Still I have time for one more observation which would not be compromised by
the increasing moon-light.  A bright double-star fits the bill perfectly.  Algieba (Gamma
Leonis) sits in the mane of the lion, even though its Arabic-name means “forehead”.
Algieba is a pretty contrast of colors and a nice way to finish the observing period.
