Comet Lovejoy C/2014 Q2 on January 17, 2015
Comet Lovejoy (C/2014 Q2) has been seen without optical aid from my backyard
during the last couple of nights. But from my suburban light-polluted sky you would
have to know where to look. In binoculars it is a beauty. For the next two nights it will
be easy to see in binoculars. Scan a couple of binocular views west of the Pleiades,
continue to search the area until you see a large fuzzy round patch -- that's the comet.
I finally got around to drawing the comet last night but have been following it for weeks.
