Comet Lulin C-2007 N3 on February 21, 2009
This comet moved across the night sky at a fair clip (for a comet).
Under dark skies it could just be made out without optical aid. In
binoculars, even in reasonably light polluted areas, it was easily
seen. Both the anti-tail and the tail could be made out with
difficulty in a telescope from my backyard. The star to the lower
left of the comet masked much of the tail and thus you will likely
have to view this drawing at the enlarged size to see the faint
smudge of the tail.
