Jupiter & Saturn Conjunction on December 22, 2020
Jupiter & Saturn Meet on December 22, 2020
This is my third and final 24-hour sequence drawing of the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.
The evening of the 22nd was reasonably clear but somewhat unstable. I was able to see the
Saturnian moons of Titan (above the planet) and Rhea (below the planet) and the four
Galilean moons of Jupiter; Io and Ganymede to the right of the planet and Europa and Callisto
to the left of Jupiter. The point of light at the edge of the drawing at 4:00 o’clock is a
background star.
