M 23 (NGC 6494) -- Open Cluster in Sagittarius
This fine Open Cluster of Stars is located in the Milky Way just above the Teapot asterism
in Sagittiarius. Its apparent size is nearly that of the Full Moon but shines only brightly
enough for it to be visible without a telescope under a dark sky. Through the little refractor
it bursts into a hundred plus stars.
