Mars & Dust Storm on June 12, 2018
Dust Storm on Mars June 12, 2018
A dust storm is currently roaring across Mars. The whole morning limb (rightside) of Mars
was a blur. Normally Syrtis Major and Hellas would have been visible on the western horizon.
This is the same storm that has become a risk for the Mars Rover Opportunity. As of
yesterday, the dust storm covers an area larger than North America. Whether the dust storm
will continue to expand (they sometimes become global) or remain regional before fading
away is not known.
