Mars on June 10, 2016
Last night a nice steady atmosphere provided me with one of the best views of Mars so
far this opposition.  I was never free of clouds above me, but Mars burned through them.
The stability of the atmosphere outweighed the lack of transparency to provide me with a
good view. Mare Acidalium, Mare Erythraeum and Sinus Meridiani dominate this side of
Mars.  I was not able to see any of the North Polar Cap but there were white clouds over
the South Pole (drawing is inverted).
