Omicron-1 (Patriotic Triple) in Cygnus

I confess that I do not like the common name of the three stars that make up Omicron-1
Cygni. Yes, the combination of the three different colors of these stars does make for a
nice contrast and, for sure, they are worth observing. However, the red, white and blue
colors of the United States’ flag is a bit limited in geographical focus and thus “Patriotic”
only to a fraction of the world’s population. Also, I do not see 31-Cygni as red, but as
orange in color. These three stars are not physically connected but a chance alignment
in the night sky. What is interesting is the 31-Cygni and 32-Cygni are both eclipsing
binaries.
