Saturn at Opposition
The view of Saturn in any size telescope of decent quality cannot help but move the
observer. Even now after decades of viewing the planets, Saturn still takes my breath
away when I view it through a telescope. Saturn is currently near opposition and well
placed for observing. No drawing or photograph can really do this planet justice -- it is
only when seen through the eyepiece can the emotional-reality of this planet be
absorbed into one's soul.
