HD 43044 (Struve 877) & HD 42955 -- Double Stars in Orion
Two Double Stars in Northeastern Orion
A line of 6 stars of 8th & 9th magnitudes occurs about a degree east of Xi Orionis in the base
of the Hunter’s massive club.  Two of the six are nice double stars in amateur telescopes.
Struve 877 (HD 43044) is the brightest and easiest to separate at moderate power.  HD
42955 splits a little harder, but if you have a stable atmosphere neither are too difficult to split.
